[Sir William Lyons Automotive Design Award Ceremony] "March 21st was a fine day. The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coachharness Makers celebrated the day by presenting some distinguished Automotive Industry Awards and Bursaries to some of the finest and brightest young people at the Company's Livery Dinner in Carpenter's Hall. These awards are: the Motor Centenary Bursary Award, Sir William Lyons Automotive Design Award - Coventry University, Advanced Automotive Engineering Research Bursary - Brunel University, Automotive and Motorsport Future Technologies Award - Cranfield University, and Bentley Heritage Award for an Outstanding Apprentice. The Master Coachmaker Mrs Bettine Evans had invited Mr Jim Saker, Emeritus Professor at Loughborough University and President of the Institute of the Motor Industry, to be the guest speaker. Over one hundred Liverymen & Freemen of the Company and their families and friends attended this happy occasion, and celebrated the outstanding achievement of each Award winner. We Coachmakers are proud of playing our tiny part in making some positive differences to these talented young people's lives. We have no doubt that they are the future of our industries and of our society."

Laszlo is an automotive designer driven by a passion for shaping the future of mobility.
His fascination with art and drawing began at an early age, evolving into a lifelong pursuit of translating imagination into tangible automotive visions. A graduate of Coventry University in Automotive Design, he combines sketching, digital modelling, and visualisation to bring bold concepts to life, from initial ideas to refined design proposals.
With a strong interest in progressive design and a keen eye for proportion, form, and detail, Laszlo approaches every project as an opportunity to question the expected and discover something unexpected.
For him, a vehicle is more than a machine; it is an expression of character, a study in proportion, and an experience designed to stir something within us.

[CONTECHS Design Award] "The awards evening, which celebrates and recognises aspiring young automotive design talent, gave Coventry University's final year students the opportunity to present their design projects to Chris Hamilton (Design Director, Contechs), Carsten Astheimer (Astheimer Design) and Jordan Demkiw (Ford of Europe)."

[Automotive Design Competition, at the RCA] As a finalist from Coventry University, I had an enjoyable day at RCA. I had the opportunity to compete for the prestigious Sir William Lyons Automotive Design Award founded by The Coach Makers of London, at the Royal College of Art. I woke up very early to reach the coach from Coventry and arrived in London in the morning, with great ambitions, to showcase my works to the jury at RCA and to win the BA Award. It was so gratifying to see the jury beeing genuinly surprised and satisfied with the quality of work, we as young designers showcased to them. I've finished as a winner and won bursaries, to support my academic goals and aspirations within automotive design.
